Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is set to launch the 'Bharat Nyay Yatra,' a 6,200-kilometer outreach initiative covering 14 states and 85 districts, beginning on January 14 from Manipur. The journey, scheduled to conclude in Mumbai on March 20, 2024, was disclosed by Congress General Secretary (Organisation) K C Venugopal during a press conference on Wednesday.
The yatra, facilitated by a bus, aims to engage with diverse sections of society, including youth, women, and marginalized communities. This initiative follows Gandhi's earlier 'Bharat Jodo Yatra,' a 4,500-kilometer journey undertaken over 150 days, starting from Kanyakumari on September 6 of the previous year.
During the 65-day 'Bharat Nyay Yatra,' Rahul Gandhi is anticipated to traverse states such as Manipur, Nagaland, Assam, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Maharashtra.
On December 21st, the Congress Working Committee gave an opinion that Rahul Gandhi ji should start a yatra from east to west. Rahul Gandhi ji has also agreed to fulfill the wish of the CWC.

In contrast to the previous yatra, this yatra will utilize a bus, facilitating maximum accessibility for people along the route. Venugopal emphasized the yatra's objective to connect with citizens through short stretches of walking now and then. The decision to launch the 'Bharat Nyay Yatra' was influenced by the appeal from the Congress Working Committee during its meeting on December 21, where Gandhi expressed his commitment to fulfill the party's aspirations.
